Job Duties The job dutis for a physical therapist are to help injured people who either just had surgery and need to heal properly or heal minor injuries to prevent getting surgery if its not neccesary. To help injured people a physical therapist uses sports, games, arts, and crafts. Usually a physical therapist will make a unique program for each specific patient.

Earning Levels

Training Requirements A college degree in physical therapy is usually required. But in most offices they require an associates degree and a masters degree. To be a physical therpist you have to have to be open minded to be able to make up games and programs for each specific patient. You also have to be able to show each excersise to your patients so they know what to do. To be a good physical therapist you have to have patients and be able to work with disabled people.

Job Availability Recreational therapists held about 25,000 jobs in 2006. Most therapists were self employed in 2006.

Employment Prospects Employment of physical therapists is expected to grow more slowly than the average for all occupations through the year 2016. Most offices are not hireing because their full of physical therapists and most offices only need about 6 or 7 physical therapist for a normal office.
